Cool cats in action: Tigers prove popular on Valentine’s Day

AFL clubs have scattered across regional Victoria in the past few weeks, with Richmond’s squad making its way to Greater Shepparton this week.

They caused a stir in Mooroopna on Monday night, running a clinic for juniors ahead of a coaching clinic for coaches of all stripes.

The Tigers were in for dinner at Bicaro's Ristorante, giving them the yellow and black tick of approval, but the biggest tick came from Member for Northern Victoria Wendy Lovell.

“What more could I want for Valentine’s Day than morning tea with the loves of my life,” she wrote.

“Go Tiges!”

Dining out: Richmond players at Bicaro's Ristorante during the week.

Ms Lovell didn’t quite don a Tigers jumper, but she got as close as possible, with what could well be a custom-made Richmond dress coming out for the occasion.

If that’s not dedication to the team, Oddie doesn’t know what is.

Making friends by helping out

The dinner at Bicaro's Ristorante showed some Richmond players are willing to go above and beyond.

While most people will let waiters clear up after their meals, superstar Dustin Martin helped clear plates off the table and popped into the kitchen to drop them off.
