A Shepparton resident was left scratching their head after an unusual theft early on Thursday, October 26.

She noticed a pair of old sneakers was taken from outside her front door.

According to the owner, they weren’t even good sneakers — with a permanent knot in one shoelace and the tread nearly worn off the sole.

What made the owner laugh, though, was that the sneakers were right next to a couple of pairs of good work boots.

She mused that maybe they did not want the work boots because they currently had no use for them.

Tat’s all, folks

In the weeks since Collingwood won the AFL grand final, Oddie has been on the lookout for fresh black-and-white ink around town.

But after venturing into one local studio in Shepparton, Oddie was surprised to find a Yarrawonga premiership tattoo being worked on.

Clearly, the Pigeons have a reach much further than just the outer borders of the Ovens and Murray Football Netball League.

Oddie hopes all the members of the Dookie United netball trip to Sydney recently had told their employers of their plans ahead of their appearance on national breakfast television.

The Thunder netballers were spotted by the Channel 7 crew while out and about celebrating the season just gone.

On national TV: Dookie United’s netball trip made an appearance on Sunrise.
