A piece of machinery worth $60,000 has been stolen in Tatura.

Daniel Mark said his Kanga mini digger was stolen from the Victorian Agriculture Research Centre on Ferguson Rd overnight between Thursday, October 3 and Friday, October 4.

A trailer, pressure washer and other tools were also stolen, Mr Mark said.

He reported the thefts to police on Friday morning.

Mr Mark, who works as a contractor for the Victorian Agriculture Research Centre, said he had lost income because he hadn’t been able to complete work since the thefts.

He said it was frustrating, as he had only owned the digger for three weeks before it was stolen.

“It’s put a spanner in the works for future projects,” he said.

“I’ve driven every back road from here to Kyabram trying to find it.”

Police investigations are ongoing.
