Allegedly stolen car set alight in Toolamba bushland

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fire in which an allegedly stolen car was destroyed in Toolamba on Friday, February 25.

A CFA spokesperson said three vehicles responded to scene just after 5pm.

The car was smouldering when firefighters arrived and the fire was declared under control just before 6pm, the spokesperson said.

Shepparton police Detective Senior Constable Luke Arrowsmith said the vehicle was allegedly stolen from the Shepparton area.

It was destroyed by fire in bushland near Darcys Track and the Goulburn River, he said.
