A man has faced court after police found four cannabis plants at his house.

Brock Marsh, 40, of Shepparton, pleaded guilty in Shepparton Magistrates’ Court to cultivating cannabis.

Senior Constable Ethan Hamill said during a search of Marsh’s Shepparton home, police found one bag of cannabis on the kitchen bench and four cannabis plants in the shed behind the house on February 2, 2024.

When police asked Marsh why he was growing cannabis, he told them it was for “personal use”, Sen Constable Hamill said.

Marsh’s solicitor, Cally He, said cannabis helped her client with his anxiety, which he was diagnosed with in 2018.

Magistrate Simon Zebrowski fined Marsh $500.
