Two men have been charged after allegedly assaulting a Mooroopna man in Shepparton early on Sunday, September 25.
Shepparton police Senior Constable Sarah Trewin said the 32-year-old victim was walking on Fryers St when he was allegedly set upon about 3am.
She said the man sustained a serious injury to the eye and was hospitalised.
A 30-year-old Shepparton man and a 24-year-old Melton man were charged with affray and recklessly and intentionally causing injury.
The men were bailed to face court in February next year.
