Cyclist hit by car

A P-plater will potentially face court after hitting a cyclist with her car at the weekend.

The 18-year-old Shepparton woman allegedly failed to give way to the cyclist while driving her Volkswagen Polo hatchback at Shepparton’s Stanley and Archer St intersection on Sunday, October 6.

The cyclist, a 70-year-old Shepparton woman, was taken to Goulburn Valley Health with minor injuries after being struck at about 4pm.

The driver sustained no injuries.

According to Shepparton police, the driver will likely face court for careless driving.
