Driver trapped after car hits tree in Nathalia

Up to four emergency vehicles attended a crash in Nathalia where a car hit a tree on Wednesday about midday.

Police said a car travelling on Nathalia-Waaia Rd hit a tree near the intersection of Grinters Rd at about 12.40pm on Wednesday, September 11.

The driver and sole occupant was trapped in the car but was rescued by SES members.

An 81-year-old Katunga North man was taken to Goulburn Valley Health with lower body injuries in a stable condition.

The exact circumstances surrounding the crash are yet to be determined, and an investigation is ongoing.
