Drug trafficking charges laid after Shepparton search warrants

Three Shepparton residents have been charged with drug trafficking after two separate search warrants were executed by police on Thursday, July 28.

Shepparton Police Divisional Response Unit members, with assistance from the Shepparton Crime Investigation Unit and Victoria Police dog squad carried out the searches.

A 48-year-old man and a 45-year-old woman were arrested at a Cameron Ave address.

The man was charged with trafficking methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine and cannabis, possession of a schedule four and eight poison, dealing with property suspected to be the proceeds of crime and handling stolen goods.

He was due to face an out of sessions court hearing late on Thursday, July 28.

The woman was charged with possessing methamphetamine and was bailed to appear at Shepparton Magistrates’ Court at a later date.

Meanwhile, a 28-year-old Shepparton man was arrested at a Newton St address.

The man was charged with trafficking, possessing and using cannabis and dealing with property suspected of being the proceeds of crime.

He was also bailed to appear at Shepparton Magistrates’ Court at a later date.
