Eight guns were stolen from a Kialla garage overnight on Tuesday, July 26.

Shepparton Crime Investigation Unit Detective Senior Sergeant Paul Shortis said a gun cabinet in a garage in Raftery Rd was broken into and the guns and ammunition stolen.

Police suspect it would have taken at least two people to carry all the guns and ammunition, or one person making several trips.

Police are calling for anyone who saw people walking in the area any time overnight or any suspicious vehicles, to contact them.

“It’s concerning when firearms are stolen,” Det Sen Sgt Shortis said.

“We really require public assistance to help us solve this crime.”

Anyone who saw anything in the area is asked to contact detectives at Shepparton Crime Investigation Unit on 5820 5777.
