A man has been seriously injured in an accident involving an excavator on private property.
Two men were assisting with cleaning up metal at a farm at Congupna on Tuesday, May 28 at 9.50am when the driver of the excavator moved forward without seeing the other man in front of him and ran over his lower right leg.
The man, who is in his 30s, was taken to GV Health by ambulance with lower body injuries.
Ambulance Victoria said he was in a serious but stable condition.
Shepparton police attended the scene and have since said it was not a WorkSafe incident and no criminal offences were detected.
