An exotic dancer has faced court for her actions on the way home from work at a Shepparton strip club.

Nile Cleopatra McCusker, 37, of the Melbourne suburb of Wyndham Vale, pleaded guilty in Shepparton Magistrates’ Court to charges of speeding and drink driving.

Prosecutor Leading Senior Constable Anna Hanlon told the court police clocked McCusker’s Mercedes Benz being driven at 126km/h on the Goulburn Valley Hwy at Kialla West at 3.20am on December 10 last year.

The section of road, between Mitchell and Bennetts Rd, is an 80km/h zone.

When police breath-tested McCusker, she recorded a blood alcohol concentration of 0.09.

McCusker told police she was on her way home from work as a dancer at Club Rawhide.

She also told police she had had about six shots of tequila.

Representing herself in court, McCusker said a friend had made modifications to her car “so maybe that’s why I was going faster”.

She also said she hadn’t eaten yet that night.

The magistrate fined McCusker $750 and disqualified her from driving for 12 months.
