Five hospitalised after collision between truck and car at Orrvale

A woman has been flown to hospital in Melbourne and four others have been taken to hospital in Shepparton after a collision between a car and a truck at Orrvale on Thursday, November 24.

Police said investigators were told a Toyota Camry sedan travelling east on Poplar Ave and a truck travelling north on Orrvale Rd collided, before the car crashed into a barrier about 11.40am.

A woman, aged in her 30s, who was a passenger in the car was flown to Royal Melbourne Hospital in a serious condition.

Four other occupants of the car, including the male driver and three passengers, were transported to Goulburn Valley Health by ambulance.

An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said a man aged in his 30s, a woman in her 30s, and a high school-aged boy all had upper body injuries and were in a stable condition.

A primary school-aged boy was taken to hospital in a stable condition with lower body injuries, the spokesperson said.

The truck driver was not injured.

Police are investigating the crash.
