Four vehicles impounded

Four drivers had their vehicles impounded by Victoria Police Highway Patrol officers for speeding and other traffic offences in the Shepparton area on Saturday, April 23.

A Shepparton man, 33, was caught allegedly travelling 111km/h in a 60km/h zone on Verney Rd, Shepparton.

Police intercepted the 2005 BMW and spoke to the driver.

The man’s vehicle was impounded for 30 days, at a cost of $1240.

A Sunbury man, 47, a Footscray woman, 43, and a Shepparton man, 46, also had their vehicles impounded for various offences, including allegedly driving while disqualified.

The impounds were part of Operation Compass, the statewide road policing operation during the high-risk Easter holiday period.
