Theft: Thieves broke into a Shepparton business, leaving with a lot of its stock.

A Shepparton eatery has been hit with the third break-in in a month.

Shepparton police offender management team’s Senior Constable Zac Clarke said at least two males broke into Bicaros Ristorante about 6am on Thursday, May 16.

They loaded most of the restaurant’s food from its fridges and freezers, as well as kitchen appliances, into four wheelie bins and left.

Police said at least two males were involved in the theft, but said potentially there were more people involved.

The males took the wheelie bin towards Swallow St on the western side of the railway line.

One of the bins was recovered later Thursday morning near the intersection of Swallow St and Johnson St, while a second one was found about 2pm close to the intersection of Johnson, Corio and Hoskin Sts.

The other two bins have not been recovered.

Police investigations into the break-in are continuing.

It is the third time the restaurant has been broken into this month.

Two bottles of alcohol were stolen on April 30, while nothing was stolen in a third break-in.

Anyone who saw anything or has CCTV or dashcam footage, is asked to contact Shepparton police on 5820 5777.
