Information sought after thefts from cars in Shepparton

Police are appealing for information and footage after a spate of thefts from cars parked in Shepparton’s central business district and surrounding streets.

Shepparton Crime Investigation Unit Detective Senior Constable Nathan Trimby said police had received reports of at least eight cars with windows smashed and items stolen.

“It started on Thursday night and it’s continued — there’s been a few every night,” he said.

“If anyone has had it happen to them and they’ve got video footage and they haven’t come forward yet, we encourage them to do so.”
