A man has been charged after allegedly stealing an elderly lady’s purse and using her phone to sell drugs, police said.
Police allege the 31-year-old Shepparton man was also randomly slashing tyres and selling methamphetamines around Shepparton on Sunday, April 20 and Monday, April 21.
He was on eight counts of bail when police arrested him at Victoria Park Lake on Monday morning, April 21.
Police have charged the man with trafficking a drug of dependence, possessing a drug of dependence, two counts of theft, possessing a prohibited weapon, controlling a prohibited weapon, criminal damage and committing an indictable offence while on bail.
He was remanded in custody to face Shepparton Magistrates’ Court in May.
