Man arrested over alleged Shepparton home invasion

Police have arrested a man in relation to an alleged Shepparton home invasion in October.

Police said a 31-year-old Shepparton man was arrested on Monday, November 11.

The alleged home invasion happened in Community St at 5.15am on October 21.

Two occupants of the house were allegedly assaulted, with a 41-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said the man was interviewed after his arrest, and had been released pending further inquiries.

He was, however, charged over other separate matters.

Three people have been charged over the alleged home invasion so far.

Isaac Hindmarsh, 19, of Shepparton, and Travis Murrell, 18, of Mooroopna were arrested at Shinezilla Car Wash in Kialla on October 24.

At the time of their arrest, seven firearms were seized from their vehicle.

Chacain Kennedy, 24, of Echuca, was arrested and charged with home invasion after an alleged hit-and-run collision in Mooroopna where an allegedly stolen car collided with another car on October 28.

The three have not entered pleas to the charges they face and have all been remanded in custody.
