A man has been charged after being caught speeding and driving an unregistered vehicle which had stolen number plates, while he was disqualified from driving.
Constable Simon Hutchings of Dookie police said a 46-year-old Invergordon man was charged with speeding on Labuan Rd in Marionvale on Wednesday, February 15.
He said the driver was found to be driving an unregistered vehicle with incorrect registration plates stolen from Numurkah.
Constable Hutchings said police found a small container with white powder discovered to be methamphetamine following a search of the vehicle.
The driver was arrested and taken to the Shepparton police station, where he was interviewed, charged and bailed to appear at Shepparton Magistrates’ Court in June.
The vehicle was impounded for 30 days.
