One of the drivers involved in a fatal crash at Pine Lodge, which resulted in the death of four people, has been charged by police.
Victoria Police Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives have charged a Shepparton man, 41, with four counts of dangerous driving causing death following the incident on January 4.
A car and a ute collided on Pine Lodge North Rd at the intersection of Cosgrove-Lemnos Rd about 4.45pm on January 4.
The 29-year-old driver of the ute, who is from Nathalia, was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The driver of the other vehicle, which contained five people, was taken to hospital in Melbourne with non-life threatening injuries.
He was under police guard while in hospital.
The four other occupants of the car he was driving, who were visiting from overseas, died in the crash.
