Marijuana allegedly found growing in Tallygaroopna house

More than 300 marijuana plants were allegedly found growing inside a Tallygaroopna house.

Shepparton Crime Investigation Unit First Constable Anthony De Cicco said police allegedly found a hydroponics set-up inside several rooms of the house.

The 324 marijuana plants were allegedly in multiple levels of maturity, from seedlings to mature plants, he said.

The plants were found when police searched the property on the morning of Wednesday, November 3.

One person, who was allegedly living at the house, was arrested.

A 48-year-old woman from Vietnam has been charged with cultivating a commercial quantity of cannabis, trafficking a commercial quantity of cannabis, possessing cannabis, theft, and possessing equipment to manufacture a drug of dependence to traffick it.

The woman faced court on Thursday, November 4 in the start of a bail application which is to be continued.
