Police have released more information about a fatal early-morning crash at Congupna last week.
The person who died in the two-vehicle collision on Wednesday, August 21 was a 72-year-old Tallygaroopna man, police said.
The crash happened on the Goulburn Valley Hwy about 6.30am.
The other driver, a 45-year-old Numurkah man, was taken to Goulburn Valley Health in a stable condition.
The crash happened on a straight stretch of the road, with both vehicles travelling south, according to police.
It is believed the ute, driven by the younger man, slowed down to turn right, when it and a car travelling behind it collided, police said.
