A Katunga man has faced court after getting new tattoos.

Jak Holterman, 26, of Katunga, pleaded guilty in Shepparton Magistrates’ Court to failing to comply with registered sex offender reporting obligations.

Prosecutor Leading Senior Constable Anna Hanlon said Holterman didn’t report new tattoos he had gotten within the required time frame.

He had gotten two new tattoos, one on each thigh, three weeks before his annual interview with police.

Holterman is required to comply with sex offender reporting obligations for life.

He told police they were “a home job after a night out”, Leading Sen Constable Hanlon said.

Representing himself in court, Holterman said it was just an oversight.

Magistrate Simon Zebrowski fined Holterman $300 and told him to be careful and aware of his reporting obligations.
