Numurkah business suffers $30,000 loss in tobacco burglary

A major tobacco heist has taken place in Numurkah.

About $30,000 worth of tobacco was stolen from a Numurkah business at the weekend.

The break-in occurred about 4am on Sunday, August 4, when two male offenders forced their way into the building.

Once inside, they took a substantial amount of tobacco while also causing damage to the cigarette cabinet.

No-one has yet been charged in relation to the offence and the investigation is ongoing.
