Police are investigating a death in Numurkah at about 8am on Monday, September 30.
Police officers were called to assist paramedics after a man had taken prescription medication.
Emergency services attempted to revive the man; however, he died in the ambulance.
The death is not being treated as suspicious.
Police said detectives from the Homicide Squad would investigate the incident with oversight from Professional Standards Command, as per standard practice when a person died in police presence.
