Occupants avoid serious injury in Echuca collision

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Murray Valley Hwy and Butcher St on Saturday, June 25.

Emergency services responded to the reports of a collision just after 8pm.

Echuca CFA and Search and Rescue were also on scene after reports someone was trapped in one of the vehicles.

An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said two women in their 80s and a man in his 60s were taken to Echuca Regional Health. They were all in a stable condition.

Echuca Highway Patrol Sergeant Paul Nicholl said the occupants were later discharged with no serious injuries.

He said the crash was caused when one driver failed to give way at a right hand turn.
