A P-plate driver, 18, has had his mother’s car impounded after being caught allegedly driving at 181km/h.
Victoria Police said highway patrol officers observed a Hyundai i30 travelling at an alleged speed of 181km/h in a 100km/h zone on Katamatite-Yarrawonga Rd near Katamatite about 5.50pm on Friday, May 5.
Two passengers were in the car at the time.
A Yarrawonga man, 18, had his mother’s car impounded at a cost of $1525, and will be summoned to appear at court at a later date.
