Pedestrian flown to hospital after being hit by car

A pedestrian was flown to a Melbourne hospital after being hit by a car in Shepparton’s main street on Friday, February 11.

Police said the man was hit by a car about 11.40pm in Wyndham St, Shepparton, opposite Victoria Park Lake.

Paramedics treated the man at the scene for upper body injuries and he was flown by air ambulance to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in a critical condition.

The man driving the car stopped at the scene and assisted police.

The cause of the accident is still being investigated.
