A Shepparton woman who allegedly set a woman on fire has officially entered a plea to charges in the Supreme Court.

Jordan Spencer, 34, of Shepparton, pleaded guilty in the Melbourne Supreme Court to intentionally causing serious injury in circumstances of gross violence.

The charge relates to an incident at Spencer’s Shepparton house on January 15, 2024 where she allegedly poured accelerant on a woman’s head and used a lighter to ignite it.

Spencer was previously facing a charge of attempted murder, but the charge was dropped in a directions hearing in the Melbourne Supreme Court on Friday, February 28.
