Police find body following bushland search

A body was located in bushland near Shepparton’s Raftery Track campground on Sunday, January 30, following a search for a missing man.

A Victoria Police spokesperson said the body was yet to be formally identified; however, it was believed to be a 20-year-old man from Shepparton.

The man was last seen at Raftery Track campground on Thursday, January 27.

Local police, specialist units and the SES spent the weekend searching the area.

Shepparton Search and Rescue president Nacole Standfield said her team was on scene assisting during the search.

The circumstances of the death were not being treated as suspicious, police said.
