Police are investigating an alleged assault on a walking track at Mooroopna in the early hours of Thursday, August 15.
Police said it was understood there was a dispute between two men, before one man allegedly assaulted the other with an edged weapon on Outfall Track at about 3.45am.
Both men left the scene.
A 53-year-old man was located a short time later and taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police arrested the other man, a 53-year-old from Mooroopna, and he is helping them with their inquiries.
