Shepparton police have seized an estimated $1.2 million worth of cannabis from a crophouse in Orrvale.

Shepparton Drug Investigations Unit Sergeant Jake Sinclair said officers executed a warrant at an Orrvale Rd property at 8.30am on Wednesday.

He said about 450 plants of varying maturity were uncovered in the basement and upstairs rooms of the home.

No-one was home at the time the warrant was executed, Sgt Sinclair said, and police were appealing for anyone with information or who had seen anything suspicious to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

“Those tips help us a lot,” he said.

He said the Orrvale Rd setup was evidently a large operation, and that investigations were continuing.
