A registered sex offender from Mooroopna has been found after he sparked a manhunt on Wednesday after, police say, he tampered with his electronic monitoring device.
Police said the man tampered with the device about 12.30pm on February 22 and took off, with local police undertaking a “significant search” for the man.
With the search on Wednesday unsuccessful, police on Thursday appealed to the public for any information to help locate the man.
On Friday, police said they had located the man in Shepparton.
