Shepparton boy arrested on factory roof in Melbourne

A Shepparton boy has been arrested on the roof of a factory in Melbourne with another male, after allegedly fleeing from police on Tuesday morning.

Police allege a stolen gold Jeep Cherokee was seen at an attempted aggravated burglary about 9.30am on June 28 in Mount Waverley.

Police had been searching for the vehicle in relation to a recent spate of alleged crimes in Monash, Boroondara and Stonnington.

The police air wing was called and the Jeep was seen in Glen Waverley where two males were allegedly trying to break into a house.

At another address police successfully deployed stop sticks and the car was dumped on Blackburn Rd while the pair took off on foot.

They allegedly ran across the Monash Fwy before jumping fences and scaling a wall.

A police officer spotted them climbing onto a factory roof and a cordon was set-up.
