A Shepparton driver was allegedly clocked at 199km/h in a 100km/h zone on Saturday, May 21.
State Highway Patrol officers intercepted the Volkswagen Golf on Euroa-Shepparton Rd in Kialla about 10.20am.
Police spoke to the driver, a 37-year-old man, and impounded his car for 30 days.
The intercept was part of Operation Focus — aiming to reduce road trauma and lives lost on Victorian roads.
The Shepparton man is expected to be charged on summons with traffic offences.
