A Greater Shepparton teenager has been charged in relation to alleged aggravated burglaries around Melbourne.

The 15-year-old boy was one of six teenagers arrested by Moorabbin Crime Investigation Unit detectives after the alleged incidents in Carnegie and Brighton.

A 2019 Skoda was allegedly stolen in an alleged aggravated burglary on Miller St, Carnegie, about 4.50am on Thursday, November 28.

It is alleged the Skoda was driven to Butler St, Brighton, about 3am on Friday, November 29.

There, a group of people allegedly gained entry to a home before allegedly stealing a 2020 Mercedes wagon, which was crashed into a wall before police say the group split up between the two vehicles and fled the scene.

A short time later, police found the Skoda in Brighton, and the sole occupant, a teenage boy, was arrested.

Police then located the Mercedes and arrested five more teenagers in the Chelsea area around 9.40am.

The 15-year-old boy from Greater Shepparton has been charged with two counts of theft of motor vehicle.

Additionally, a 15-year-old Kingston boy and 15-year-old Bayside boy from Dingley Village have been charged with aggravated burglary and two counts of theft of motor vehicle.

Three 15-year-old Kingston boys have been charged with theft of motor vehicle.

All six teenagers will face a children’s court at a later date.
