A man has faced court for drug driving.

Mark Bruton, 42, of Avenel, pleaded guilty in Shepparton Magistrates’ Court to drug driving.

Prosecutor Senior Constable Sarah Bird said police pulled over Bruton’s Holden ute in Echuca Rd at St Germains after he was clocked doing 111km/h in a 100km/h zone on April 23 last year.

Bruton tested positive to cannabis and methamphetamines when drug tested by police.

Representing himself in court, Bruton said he was moving from Swan Hill to Avenel at the time.

He was fined $500 and disqualified from driving for 12 months.
