Thousands of dollars worth of stolen equipment have been retrieved in Greater Shepparton, more than 200km away from where they were first taken.

About a month ago, $10,000 to $15,000 worth of tools and accessories were taken from the Swan Hill area, and on Wednesday, April 10, they were found in Mooroopna.

On Wednesday morning, the Shepparton and Swan Hill criminal investigation units teamed up to execute two search warrants, which resulted in the arrest of two Swan Hill men in Mooroopna.

The items were found at multiple addresses alongside other items stolen from two vehicles in Mooroopna at the weekend.

The case had been an ongoing investigation lasting for about a month for the Swan Hill CIU.

Further inquiries regarding the two men are being undertaken.
