A Shepparton man who was caught driving on a suspended licence has been fined $750.

Muhammed Ulu, 36, was charged with driving on a suspended licence.

His matter was dealt with in Shepparton Magistrates’ Court in his absence.

Prosecutor Leading Senior Constable Fiona Kennedy told the court police caught Ulu driving on Central Ave in Shepparton East on February 3 last year.

His driver’s licence had been suspended for 12 months about three-and-a-half months earlier.

He told police at the time he was “silly” and was “trying to get my job done”, Leading Sen Constable Kennedy said.

As well as the $750 fine, Ulu was ordered to pay $85.70 in court costs and his licence was suspended for one month.
