Police have charged a teenager after an alleged assault on another teenager in Shepparton last week.
Officers allege a 17-year-old boy assaulted a 16-year-old girl known to him with a weapon at about 10.30pm on Friday, September 6.
The alleged assault happened on Wyndham St.
The boy allegedly fled on foot before police arrived.
Paramedics were called to the scene at about 10.50pm and took the girl to Goulburn Valley Health with non-life-threatening injuries.
A 17-year-old boy was arrested on Monday, September 9 and charged with affray, aggravated assault of a female and further assault charges.
He will appear at a children’s court at a later date.
