A teenager has died in hospital following a three-car collision last week.
On Friday, April 19, a Toyota Camry, a Toyota Orient and a Mazda wagon allegedly collided at Pine Lodge, police said, at the intersection of New Dookie Rd and Boundary Rd, about 6.20pm.
Ambulance Victoria deployed a significant number of paramedics and MICA personnel to the scene.
Six people were taken to Goulburn Valley Health with injuries, and paramedics assessed one at the scene.
The driver of the Camry, a 30-year-old Kialla man, sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
Two of his passengers, a 17-year-old Lemnos girl and a 32-year-old Lemnos man, were taken to hospital in a critical condition.
His third passenger, an 18-year-old Tarneit woman was not injured.
The 17-year-old Lemnos girl later died from her injuries in hospital.
The driver of the Mazda wagon, a 68-year-old Cosgrove woman, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
Her passenger, a 15-year-old Dookie boy, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
The driver of the Toyota Orient, a 66-year-old Dookie man, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are assessing the circumstances surrounding the collision and investigations remain ongoing.
