Armed teenagers allegedly forced entry into a Mooroopna home on Saturday evening.

Shepparton police allege the two 17-year-olds approached the McKean St home with machetes and an extendable baton at around 8.50pm on Saturday, January 4.

Cars and windows at the front of the home were damaged and the youths allegedly forced their way into the house before being forced out by one of the occupants.

The teens were arrested later that night and have been charged with aggravated burglary, as well as damage and weapons-related offences.

They have been bailed to appear in court later this month.
