Tractor heist hits Shepparton business

Police are investigating after a tractor was stolen from a Shepparton business.

A small tractor was stolen from a Shepparton business in the early hours of Monday, May 27.

Shepparton Crime Investigation Unit Detective Senior Constable Nathan Berryman said an A and K TE50 tractor was taken from the yard at a Drummond Rd business about 3.40am.

The padlock to the front gate was cut to gain entry to the property.

Det Sen Constable Berryman said the tractor was driven from the property and on to Drummond Rd.

Police do not know whether or not it was later loaded onto another vehicle such as a truck or trailer, or if it was driven away.

The tractor is worth about $40,000, according to police.
