Traffic was banked up for 40 minutes in the afternoon of Wednesday, November, 1 on Welsford and Knight St after a crash between a truck and an SUV.
The crash happened shortly after 4.40pm.
Shepparton police First Constable Ryan Sheridan said an SUV was travelling north on Welsford St and “misread the traffic” when the road went from two lanes down to one.
A truck was travelling north on Welsford St, and the SUV came up on the inside of the truck while it was turning and hooked under the truck and was dragged around the corner, First Constable Sheridan said.
The two females in the SUV and the man who was driving the truck were not injured.
The police investigation is ongoing.
