A ute and about $1200 were stolen from a Shepparton home early on Monday, December 2.
Police said a house in Batman Ave was broken into at 5.15am while the occupants were home.
A Jeep ute was stolen, after the keys to it were taken from inside the house.
Two handbags, which included $1200 in cash, were also stolen, police said.
The ute was dumped in bushland near Jordan Place some time between when it was stolen and 6.50am.
Police said items from the house were found on a walking track along the Goulburn River not far from Jordan Place.
