Police are investigating after a postal vehicle was stolen from outside a marketplace in Moama on Tuesday, June 7.

A NSW police spokesperson said the white Great Wall utility was parked outside the marketplace on Perricoota Rd, Moama, about 9am.

When the driver returned, the vehicle was missing, they said.

Early investigations suggest the vehicle was stolen from the location via a service station near the car park, the spokesperson said.

Murray River Police District Inspector Paul Huggett said officers were checking CCTV footage from the time of the incident.

He asked anyone who was at the marketplace around the same time to check any dash cam footage available.

Anyone who has seen a white Great Wall utility vehicle with Victorian registration 1UD-8VM, or has any information about the incident is urged to contact Moama police on 5482 0099.
