Wrap it up

It’s one thing finding the perfect gift, it’s another thing making it look nice and pretty.

For some people, gift wrapping can be a daunting task— but it doesn’t have to be.

If you follow these steps, you’ll be wrapping your presents like a pro and will be proud to place your gift under the tree this Christmas.

What you’ll need:

– Scissors.

– Tape.

– Wrapping paper.

– Gift tags, ribbons or bows (optional)

What to do:

1. Clear a large flat space, like a kitchen table, to wrap your presents.

2. Measure the right amount of paper for your gift. You should place your gift in the middle of the wrapping paper with enough on either side to wrap around and cover the bottom of the gift fully. Estimate the amount you will need to cover the top and bottom of the gift, and then cut.

3. Centre the gift in the paper and bring one side of the paper up and halfway across the top. Tape the paper to the top of the gift (if it’s safe to do so) to keep it in place.

4. Fold over the other side of the paper to the top and tape it in place. You can fold the edge inwards, so the seam isn’t visible to make it look cleaner, but it isn’t a requirement.

5. Starting on one end, fold down the top flap onto the side of the box. This should create two little wings at the side. Flatten those against the box and then fold the remaining paper up against the box before securing it with tape.

6. Repeat step 5 on the other end.

7. Add ribbons, gift tags or bows of your choice to really complete the look.

Congratulations! You’ve just wrapped your gift like a pro and can now proudly place it under the tree for all to see.
