Adrian Ridley claimed his first Club Championship in many years when he defeated Heie Hansen to take the title on Monday, October 28.

Qualifying rounds were played on Sunday, October 27 to determine who would be facing off in the best of 5 frame final and several close results highlighted a day of great snooker for all entrants.

Adrian played superbly to justify his top seeding whilst Heie had another great tournament in reaching his third straight decider.

Congratulations to both Adrian and Heie on their performances and continually high standard of snooker.

The Bob Organ B Grade championship qualifying rounds were contested on Monday, November 11 with semi-finals and the ultimate best of three frame playoff being completed on Tuesday 12 November.

Jack Bassett had a nail biting “black ball in the deciding frame” victory over Luca Macheda to earn his way to that match, where he took on recently joined member Craig Jordan, who won his semi-final over Nev Page by the same margin.

The final did not disappoint and resulted in another thrilling finish where Jack claimed his first title by potting the pink ball in the third and deciding frame.

Congratulations to both Jack and Craig on their performances in an event full of great matches with close finishes.

The Wednesday evening social events of October 30 saw Ashley Nicholls taking the chocolates over Jason Bassett, Darren Edwards cleaning up against Keving Young on November 6 and Michael Barclay getting over the line against Martin Dermietzel on November 13.
