A host of football netball clubs across the Goulburn Valley are set for significant pay days.

Eleven affiliated clubs from the region will share in more than $183,000, successfully gaining funding through AFL Victoria’s 2023 Strategic Community Investment Fund (SCIF).

The fund aims to aid various projects and assist clubs and volunteers in running their club.

Shepparton Swans, Shepparton East, Murchison-Toolamba and Rochester have landed $25,000 each for new or existing scoreboard upgrades, while Dookie United and Barooga will have $23,890 and $24,203, respectively, for similar projects.

Cobram Football Club has scored $25,000 for goal-netting upgrades.

Echuca will spend $3189 on a dishwasher, defibrillator and laptops, while Violet Town has $2000 to buy a new point-of-sale system.

Lastly, Deniliquin will use its allotted $5500 to go towards a line-marking machine and its under-10 program.
