Last weekend saw the Corowa Anglers Club host the 28th Annual “Restock the Murray” Bowls Day.
This enjoyable day allows the Anglers Club to raise money to purchase fingerlings to be released back into our Mighty Murray, ensuring plentiful fishing for the area for everyone to enjoy. The club has released hundreds of thousands of Cod and Yellow Belly over the 28 years.
This year 16 teams took to the ring at the Corowa RSL Club for a day filled with laughter and cheer.
victorious for the day was Team BOFO. This team was made up of Blaze Naughtin, Sean Hanrahan, Andrew Ollington and Sam Haigh. In second place was Team Bilney and third was Team Jim’s Mowing.
Thank you to all that attended. The club would also like to extend the warmest thank you to the wonderful Sponsors who make the day happen.

On the fishing front. Still some great fishing happening in and around Corowa. Cod are still happy to sample bait and lures.
There has also been reports of and increase in Redfin numbers in the Murray around the local area after the floods last year.
As a club the next outing is March 17-19 at Hinches Beach, down stream from Mulwala.
Happy Fishing.
Katfish.
